What We Do
West Michigan Concrete Leveling handles concrete leveling, mudjacking, and polyurethane foam lifting for homeowners and businesses across West Michigan. We serve Kent, Ottawa, Allegan, Muskegon, Ionia, and surrounding counties — from Grand Rapids to Holland, Walker to Byron Center, Kentwood to Zeeland.
The process is straightforward: we drill small holes through your existing slab, inject material beneath it to fill the void and push the concrete back into position, then patch the holes. Most jobs take 2–4 hours. You can drive on your driveway the same day.

Two Methods: Mudjacking or Poly Foam?
We use both, and the right choice depends on your situation.
Mudjacking
Mudjacking uses a cement-sand-water slurry pumped beneath the slab. It's been used for 80 years, costs less, and is a good fit for most residential jobs. Expect to wait 24 hours before driving on it.
Polyurethane Foam Injection
Polyurethane foam injection is faster, lighter, and more durable. The foam expands and cures in minutes — you can drive on it in an hour. It costs more upfront but often makes more sense for pool decks, commercial applications, or areas with poor drainage.

Why West Michigan Concrete Settles
It comes down to soil and weather.
West Michigan's soils — particularly in Kent and Ottawa counties — trend sandy, which drains well but doesn't compact uniformly. Over time, soil migrates away from beneath a slab through erosion or water movement, leaving a void. The slab bridges that void until the weight becomes too much, and it drops.
Freeze-thaw makes it worse. Michigan averages 130+ freeze-thaw cycles per year in some areas. Water gets under or around a slab, freezes, expands, and pushes. When it thaws, the slab doesn't always settle back flat. Do this 130 times a year for 15 years, and you understand why concrete moves.
